The Bellmeister Story

It all started over 20 years ago.  Fred Eberhart (a.k.a. The Bellmeister) had been working with leather and looking for a use for some blemished leather straps.  He decided to cut around the blemishes and create sleigh bell straps of various sizes.  He visited a potential customer, showed his wares, and was excited to see how well they were received.  In fact, he sold his entire inventory to his first customer.  The leather bellmeister sleigh bell strap had been born.

Not soon after, while working with a large batch of leather, the bellmeister noticed a few small pieces that had defects.  Instead of throwing the leather into the trash, he asked Mrs. Bellmeister to use her artistic ability and some craft paint to make use of the leather.  The hand painted leather quickly became a big hit and is still a unique feature today.
